The Power of Groups

To band together is the nature of most people, as such they can gain many benefits from it.

Factions are player-created, story-driven groups that serve as collaborative hubs within Shinseina World. Whether lawful or unlawful, they allow players to join forces, build influence, share resources, take on special missions, and leave a lasting impact on the world. Factions can range in purpose, from noble alliances and mercenary bands to criminal syndicates or magical guilds, and grow in strength based on their actions and reputation.

Creating and managing a faction comes with both power and responsibility. A faction’s success depends on its members' unity, strategic goals, and consistent activity. Alongside deeper roleplay opportunities, factions unlock a variety of exclusive perks that encourage teamwork, world-building, and long-term progression.

Factions are organized groups of players united under a common banner, ideology, or objective. Whether your goal is spreading knowledge, accumulating wealth, dominating the black market, or offering protection, factions provide structure and purpose to your journey.

They offer:

  • Shared quests with better rewards

  • Faction-only perks and missions

  • Access to private hubs and shops

  • Influence over Shinseina’s lore and politics

  • Community, training, and character synergy

Factions can be lawful, recognized by the major clans, or illegal, operating from the shadows, each with unique risks and benefits.

To Grow

Factions have many aspects, some of them are very important.

To start a faction, players must meet the following criteria:

  • Faction Name - A meaningful name that reflects the group’s identity.

  • Faction Purpose - A reason for existing: adventuring, protection, political power, crime, etc.

  • Faction Leader - A designated player who manages and leads the group.

  • Minimum Members - A leader and at least 3 others (total of 4).

  • Legal or Illegal - Choose if your faction operates lawfully or in secret. Illegal factions face more danger but gain access to special underground content.

Making and even partaking in one is also very beneficial, as all factions come with exclusive advantages as they grow. Such as:

  • Double Quest Rewards - Complete quests as a group for better loot, EXP, and rep.

  • Black Market Access - Criminal factions unlock deeper black market tiers as they build reputation.

  • Faction Headquarters - Unlock a private forum/channel for planning, storage, and communication.

  • Faction Shops - Buy unique, powerful items exclusive to factions.

  • Boosted Training - Learn spells, Ki techniques, and more at an accelerated pace when training as a group.

  • Reputation System - Shape how NPCs, cities, and other factions view you.

  • Group Encounter Rewards - Receive extra loot and recognition during battles or major events.

  • Faction Missions - Unlock lore-aligned, exclusive quests based on your faction’s goals.

  • Ceremonies & Events - Host your own tournaments, initiations, or public events with rewards.

Beyond that, each faction can design its own internal hierarchy, using ranks like:

  • Officers

  • Lieutenants

  • Recruits

Leaders control promotions, assign responsibilities, and grant access to faction resources or leadership roles. Members in higher ranks may gain privileges such as recruiting or organizing missions.

And your factions can also gain or lose reputation depending on how they, or members in them, act throughout the world. This can be reflected in various ways:

  • High Reputation - Gain favor with NPCs, discounts, alliances, and lore missions.

  • Notorious Reputation - Become hunted, feared, or targeted by rivals and law enforcers. but unlock access to exclusive underground networks and illegal missions.

Your actions shape how the world reacts to your faction, building its legacy or leading it toward destruction.
