Hidei Magic - Covered Tongue

Type of Spell: Hidei Magic

Spell Power Ranking: D

Description: The caster writes the target's name onto a small piece of paper, folds it around a pinch of salt, then places it beneath a cup or bowl turned upside down. Once mana is fed into the vessel, the target's voice becomes sealed for up to 8 turns. Their speech is dulled and harder to project, reducing the effectiveness of abilities that rely on shouting, chanting, or verbal commands by 15%. The caster may lift the vessel at any time to immediately end the effect.

Mana Cost: Low

Limitations & Side Effects:

- Boost Limit: May boost Duration or Debuff Strength, not both.

- Requires the target's correct name.

- The paper must remain beneath the overturned vessel for the spell to function.

- Does not prevent the target from speaking entirely.

- Does not affect telepathy, non-verbal casting, or abilities that do not rely on the voice.

- If the paper is removed, torn, or exposed, the spell ends.

Cooldown: 7 Turns

Requirements: Paper, salt, and a cup or bowl.
