Hidei Magic - Crossroad Debt

1 min read

Type of Spell: Hidei Magic

Spell Power Ranking: C

Description: The caster places a coin, a small personal belonging from the target, and a written request inside a wrapped bundle, then leaves it at a crossroads or marked intersection. Once mana is fed into the bundle, the spell creates a temporary debt between the target and the next meaningful choice they make. For up to 15 turns, whenever the target deliberately chooses between two clear options, such as attacking or retreating, pursuing one person or another, taking one path or another, the rejected choice does not disappear. Instead, it remains attached to them as a lingering consequence. The caster may trigger one of these rejected choices later, causing the target to briefly suffer what that choice would have demanded.

Mana Cost: Medium

Limitations & Side Effects:

- Boost Limit: May boost Duration, the number of stored rejected choices, or the strength of the triggered consequence, but only one.

- Only deliberate choices between two clear options can be recorded.

- A maximum of 3 rejected choices may be stored at once.

- Triggered consequences must reflect the rejected choice and cannot create unrelated effects.

- The spell cannot force an action that would guarantee immediate death or severe self-harm.

- If the bundle is opened, moved from the marked crossing, or destroyed, all stored choices are lost.

Cooldown: 16 Turns

Requirements: A crossroads or clearly marked intersection, one coin, one personal belonging from the target, and a written request.
