Hidei Magic - Nail the Shadow

Type of Spell: Hidei Magic

Spell Power Ranking: C

Description: The caster wraps a strand of hair, thread from clothing, or another personal trace of the target around a nail, then drives it through the target's shadow and into the surface beneath it. Once fixed, the shadow becomes the vessel instead of the body. For up to 12 turns, the target can move normally within 25 meters of where their shadow was pinned, but attempting to move farther causes their shadow to stretch unnaturally while their body is pulled back toward the boundary. The nail can also be twisted to briefly force the target's shadow to face a different direction, causing their next movement to veer toward that side as their body follows it.

Mana Cost: Medium

Limitations & Side Effects:

- Boost Limit: May boost Duration, Binding Range, or the strength of the pull, but only one.

- Requires a genuine personal trace belonging to the target.

- The nail must physically pierce the target's visible shadow when the spell begins.

- Twisting the nail can only redirect one movement per turn and cannot force the target into immediately lethal danger.

- If the nail is removed or the surface holding it is destroyed, the spell ends.

- If the target's shadow completely disappears due to lighting conditions, the binding weakens until it becomes visible again.

Cooldown: 15 Turns

Requirements: A nail, something personally connected to the target, and a surface capable of holding the nail.
