Item Limits: Requires the handler to be nearby the fauna in order to get a proper read, making its usage somewhat dangerous. The higher ranked the fauna, the further away the user may be as their mana presence is stronger and thus would trigger the device. Limited to creatures under B Rank and of a 'physical' nature

Description: A spherical object that is crude in design and was created by the amassed Beast specialist, Grimwick Velnore. Understanding the importance of harvesting beast cores, he wanted to invent a way that would do so without the useless slaughter of coreless fauna. Now, the spheres are capable of reading the mana currents prevalent in the air, and by raising this sphere and activating it near a fauna, will respond in one of two ways. If the animal’s mana shows traces of it having a core, it will glow golden and split down the center. If the fauna does not possess a core, it will simply snap shut.
