Description: Auronyx is a naturally occurring shadowy ore that forms in places deprived of light for many years. It does not erase illumination outright, but instead dulls it, casting persistent dimness and lengthening shadows. Light sources and light magic near Auronyx also burn shorter and weaker, while shadow and darkness magic grow longer and behave far more efficiently. Miners report a mild but constant sense of unease while working with Auronyx, though it lacks severe psychological effects. Prolonged exposure may cause fatigue, muted emotions, and difficulty recalling fine details. Due to its relative stability, Auronyx is widely used by clandestine organizations and frontier settlements near hostile territory. However, structures built from the mineral are often abandoned within decades, and are no longer built as both the occupants and builders slowly lose motivation and ambition
